DREAM appears to be safe for now and will return in 2013 with four shows according to Asian MMA. No dates have been revealed.
Real Entertainment owned DREAM before filing for bankruptcy last year. The promotion seemed dead until GLORY decided to purchase the rights to the company and used it to help promote a combined New Years Eve special show.
GLORY is currently in negations with Spike TV and CBS Sports about a possible TV deal. K-1 had been working with Spike TV, but that deal is finished. Spike TV executives were at the DREAM – GLORY mega show in December.
Spike TV will begin airing Bellator tomorrow, January 17. The UFC called Spike TV home for several years before switching to FOX.
