Invicta FC will be adventuring outside of Kansas for the first time when they return with their fifth installment. The Bren Center in Irvine, CA will host the next show, said Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp on MMA Junkie Radio. Knapp had April 13 has the targeted date, but shortly after she declared that, the UFC revealed that The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale was set for that day. Knapp has chosen to change the date.
For those asking yes, the UFC just announced an April 13th date, so we will adjust that date we were looking at in April Details coming!

Atomweight champion Jessica Penne (10-1) makes her first title defense against Michelle Waterson (10-3). Both are undefeated for Invicta FC, with Penne having two wins and Waterson one.
Also on the card will be the previously announced debut of the flyweight championship as Vanessa Porto (15-5) and Barb Honchak (7-2) meet. Former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman (15-2) has been announced with no opponent known at this time.
Snapp said she believes that Bec Hyatt (4-2), Rose Namajunas (1-0) and Veronica Rothenhausler (1-0) will all make their return to the promotion at Invicta FC 5.
Broadcasting plans have not been decided and Knapp isn’t shooting down the possibility of streaming the show via USTREAM again. Due to record breaking numbers from the recent Invicta FC show, USTREAM crashed several times before Snapp decided to air the internet PPV for free. She has since promised to refund anyone who paid the $7.95.
