UFC president Dana White took to the MMA forum The Underground to dispute a report by MMA Interviews concerning Ronda Rousey’s salary for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche.
Rousey, the UFC female bantamweight champion, will defend her title in February against Liz Carmouche. MMA Interviews reported that “Rowdy” would be paid $75,000 to show and another $75,000 if she wins, making her one of the highest paid champions in the UFC.
White, however, posted “(M)ma interviews whoever the hell they are is full of (expletive),” in regards to the report.
The reported figure would be more than champions such as Benson Henderson, Jose Aldo and Dominick Cruz made in their last title fights for the UFC.
