Former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez is one of the biggest free agents in MMA history. However, due to the contract he signed with Bellator, Alvarez is not a complete free agent.
It has been reported that the UFC made Alvarez an offer, and it now appears that Bellator is looking to match it. That would mean Alvarez is likely headed back to Bellator instead of competing inside the Octagon.
Recently, Alvarez has taken to Twitter to voice his opinion on the subject. He is set to appear on The MMA Hour Monday, where he has promised to say anything and everything regarding the contract situation.
“I’ll say exactly how I feel regardless of the consequences,” Alvarez posted. “And I won’t dance around the truth. I’ll set the record straight and give you guys the truth (you) deserve to know. The gloves are off.”
Alvarez is set to appear at 2:25 p.m. ET on the show with Ariel Helwani.
