Invicta FC returns to action in April with two championship fights and the debut of Sarah Kaufman (15-2). No exact date was provided for Invicta FC 5.
Kaufman will make her debut for the promotion after having to pull out of Invicta FC 3 with an injury. In her last fight, Kaufman failed to regain the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight championship when Ronda Rousey and her armbar needed less than one minute for the submission win. No opponent has been named for Kaufman.
Also on the card will be the debut of the flyweight championship as Vanessa Porto (15-5) takes on Barb Honchak (7-2). Porto is 1-1 for Invicta FC as Honchak is undefeated for the promotion at 2-0.
The other title fight features atomweight champion Jessica Penne making her first title defense with an opponent not yet known. Penne won the title at Invicta FC 3 with a second round submission over Naho Sugiyama (8-1).
