With Strikeforce Closing, Isaac Vallie-Flagg Wonders His Next Step

Strikeforce’s Isaac Vallie-Flagg (13-3-1) is 0-3 when it pertains to winning a spot to make The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) cast. Now with Strikeforce ceasing operations in January, Vallie-Flagg thinks he can still join the UFC roster and bypass spending another trip to TUF house.

“I’d rather be known for my hard work than being a loudmouth drunk idiot on TV,” said Vallie-Flagg to Sherdog. “I don’t have time to mess around in this sport. Even if I do get into the UFC, I don’t want to be stuck on undercards. I want to be out there in the public eye beating tough people.”

Vallie-Flagg won in his two Strikeforce appearances via split decision against Brian Melancon (6-2) in 2011 and Gesias Cavalcante (17-6-1-2 NC) in 2012. His November appearance was scratched after Strikeforce cancelled the card.

At Cage Fighting Fury Championships on February 13 from Atlantic City, NJ Vallie-Flagg is scheduled to meet Julian Lane (4-0). Vallie-Flagg isn’t sure if that fight will still happen as it depends if the UFC decides to absorb him into their roster.
