Former Strikeforce champion Cung Le recently had surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow. Le said the surgery was a success, but he is unsure how long he will be sidelined.
Le, coming off a victory over Rich Franklin earlier this year in Macau, said he plans to “give my body enough time to heal.” He intensified his rehab for a foot injury to make the Franklin bout.
The 40-year-old Le (9-2) improved to 2-1 in his UFC career with the first round knockout of Franklin. He also topped Patrick Cote earlier this year after falling to Wanderlei Silva in 2011.
