Rory MacDonald will get his wish, as UFC president Dana White confirmed with MMAjunkie.com on Wednesday that Carlos Condit-MacDonald II will take place. The bout is targeted for UFC 158 on March 16 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, thought the event has yet to be made official.
MacDonald (14-1) requested the rematch following his win over former UFC champion BJ Penn. The TKO loss to Condit is the lone defeat on the record of the rising Canadian star.
Condit (28-6) has won five of his seven UFC bouts, but is coming off a defeat to Georges St-Pierre in a UFC welterweight title unification match.
