Former UFC champion Dan Severn is 54 years old, but that competitive fire continues to burn inside his soul. Severn, who last competed in an MMA match to earn his 101st victory earlier this year, told WrestleNewz.com that he could see himself fighting again – though he has announced his retirement from combat sports for the time being.
“If there was a ridiculous amount of money involved, I’d come out of retirement,” Severn said. “I am a wrestler after all.”
Severn (101-19-7) has competed for several promotions since his last bout with the UFC, which came in 2000 against Pedro Rizzo. “The Beast” is a member of the UFC’s Hall of Fame and claimed a pair of tournament titles.
