Rory MacDonald has revenge on his mind – and that appears to be the only thing. MacDonald, following a victory over BJ Penn, called out Carlos Condit for a match.
Condit, who lost to Georges St-Pierre last month in a bout to unify the UFC welterweight titles, handed MacDonald his only pro defeat back in 2010.
“My challenge is out there. It’s up to Carlos to accept my challenge,” MacDonald said. “I know he’s a warrior and I don’t think he’s decline. He’s coming off a loss and he has to fight somebody. It might as well be me.”
MacDonald (14-1) took Condit down three times in the first two rounds of their initial meeting, but Condit rallied and finished off “Aries” with elbows and punches on the ground. The scorecards revealed MacDonald would have earned a split decision victory had the third round concluded.
