Dan Henderson seems puzzled by recent comments made from UFC president Dana White. Following UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz, White stated that Alexander Gustafsson could replace Henderson in a planned bout with Lyoto Machida.
White stated that Henderson’s injured knee is not healing quickly enough to make a February bout with Machida. However, “Hendo” himself is denying this, as he posted on Twitter.
“Not sure where (White) thinks he’s hearing that my knee isn’t doing ok,” Henderson wrote. “It’s doing great. Slowly picking training up just like I do for every training camp. I guess I’ll have to show Dana personally how my knee feels.”
Henderson and Machida are rumored to be the co-main event for UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche. The winner would make a strong statement to being a contender to the UFC light heavyweight title.
