Bellator 84 Championship Fight Pulled

The light heavyweight championship fight for Bellator 84 has been scratched due to an injury sustained by challenger Attila Vegh (25-7-2). Christian M’Pumbu (18-4-1) was set to make his first title defense.

The M’Pumbu-Vegh title is being looked at for some time during Season 8.

Only three fights will air on the main card now. They consist of the finals of the Season 7 lightweight and heavyweight tournaments. In the lightweight tournament, it will be Marcin Held (15-2) vs. Dave Jansen (19-2) and the heavyweights will feature Richard Hale (24-1-1) vs. Alexander Volkov (18-3). Felice Herrig (7-4) and Michelle Gutierrez (3-3) will meet in a rubber match rounding out the card.

Bellator 84 airs on MTV2, December 14, from The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. will stream the preliminary action. After this show, Bellator moves to Spike TV on Thursday Bellator 84 Championship Fight Pulled
