Greg Jackson didn’t watch the Georges St-Pierre (23-4) vs. Carlos Condit (28-6) fight live, doubts that he’ll ever watch it.
“It was too personal for me, and I love both of those guys,” said Jackson on The MMA Hour. “It is just business, and they did what they had to do, but for me, it was kind of a personal thing and it’s not something I enjoy.”
Both men have trained with Jackson extensively in the past, which led to him not even attending the UFC 154 event. He also chose not to train either fighter as a way to remain neutral and fair.
St-Pierre defeated Condit via decision to become the undisputed welterweight champion last weekend.
Both fighters left the Octagon bruised and battered, but no serious injuries were reported, which allowed Jackson to breathe a sigh of relief.
“Everybody let me know that it was good, and everyone was okay,” said Jackson. “That was my main concern, that everybody was fine.”
