World-class manager Greg Jackson kept himself out of the recent Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit collision, as he works with both fighters. GSP earned a decision victory, and Jackson felt the outcome would not have changed had he been involved.
“I don’t think I could have changed anything,” said Jackson, during an interview in The MMA Hour. “I don’t think it’s one of those things where I’m that important. And that goes for either guy. I don’t think I would’ve changed things either way.”
Jackson added that, “I never play the guessing game like that. It’s not how I am, I try not to think back one thing or the other. I think Carlos is an amazing fighter and I’m just a little bit of what he does.”
Condit trains right at Jackson’s MMA in New Mexico, while St-Pierre admitted that he typically would bring Jackson to his camp in Montreal. The two fighters never trained or sparred together at the gym.
