Joe Henle Looks To Continue His Streak In MFC Championship Fight

Following a string of wins, Joe Henle (8-0-1) has earned his chance at championship gold. At MFC 35, Henle takes on Elvis Mutapcic (11-2) in the main event to crown a new champion for the middleweight title.

Henle enters the fight undefeated in his three year career. His last fight took place in August for MFC, where Henle won via TKO in round one. Mutapcic looks to add to his third and current win streak. The other streaks lasted between three and five fights. Mutapcic debuted for MFC at the same August show this year.

Even with a perfect record, Henle knows they don’t last and losing is an aspect of the sport.

“I’m a realist,” said Henle on MMA Junkie Radio. “Eventually [a loss] is going to happen. We play with four-ounce gloves. Somebody is eventually going to clip me. To me, I don’t really worry about it too much. It’s going to happen. And if it doesn’t happen, awesome.”

MFC 35 takes place this Friday, October 26, at the Mayfield Inn Trade and Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The card will air live on AXS TV.
