UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will return to action for the first time since early in 2011 when he takes on Carlos Condit in November. The two meet to unify the UFC welterweight titles at UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit from Montreal.
Condit earned the interim UFC welterweight title when he defeated Nick Diaz. The decision to make an interim title came about after St-Pierre (22-2) was forced to undergo knee surgery.
Now, months removed from laying on the operating table, GSP is back working his way to fighting shape for Condit.
“Perfect training camp so far,” St-Pierre posted on Twitter Monday, “feel very fortunate to do this for a living!”
St-Pierre has successfully defended his title six times since unifying the belt with a TKO victory over Matt Serra at UFC 83 in 2008.
