Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin knows that he isn’t the top 205-pound fighter in the world. However, that doesn’t mean Griffin feels as though he can’t compete inside the Octagon.
Griffin will return to action this December, taking on former UFC middleweight contender Chael Sonnen at UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez. Griffin is coming off a win over Tito Ortiz, but had to field several questions about his retirement due to comments made by UFC president Dana White.
“I just love fighting,” said Griffin, while appearing on The MMA Hour recently. “I know I’m not the best, but I’m still pretty good. There’s a lot of people I can still beat. What do you do. What else am I supposed to do? I have no other skills. I enjoy doing this. There’s nothing I’d really rather do.”
Griffin mentioned having “a laundry list of people I want to fight and people I don’t want to fight,” but refused to say who was on either list. `
