Dan Hardy holds a perfect 4-0 record when competing in Nottingham, England. Saturday night, Hardy will make his first UFC appearance in his hometown, facing Amir Sadollah in the co-main event of UFC on Fuel TV: Struve vs. Miocic.
After nearly being released by the promotion, Hardy (24-10) doesn’t plan on leaving the Octagon with anything but a victory over Sadollah.
“I never lose in my hometown,” Hardy said. “Not in my town.”
Hardy, who faced Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight title back in 2010, ended a four-fight losing skid by stopping Duane Ludwig earlier this year. That saved his job, and allowed him the opportunity to face Sadollah.
“The last win was a big one for me, I really needed that,” Hardy said. “But this one is the one that is going to keep the momentum going. I plan on beating him to the punch.”
As a reminder, FightLine will be providing complete coverage Saturday afternoon of the entire event. Action begins early in the day at 1:45 p.m. ET due to the event airing live in England.
