After Dana White blasted Jon Jones (16-1) for the cancellation of UFC 151, the two have not officially met to discuss the matter. When they do meet later this week, Jones plans to forgive White for his comments.
“I’m going to tell Dana I forgive him,” said Jones on MMA Fighting. “I have a general intention of what’s going to happen and it’s going to be around forgiveness. I’m not expecting him to apologize, but I’m moving forward.”
White spoke harshly about Jones’ decision to pull out of the main event of UFC 151, triggering the entire event to be cancelled. Jones is ready to move past the event and get back on track with the UFC president.
“Dana spoke his mind and ultimately he can’t take back what happened and I can’t take back what happened,” said Jones. “I don’t think he wants to and I don’t want to. We’re just going to be men and keep this great journey going. I want to do great things and working with him will be beneficial for both of us.”
