Bellator Fighting Championships will reach a whole new level in 2013, as the promotion begins airing on Spike TV. Once that happens, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney expects to see a huge expansion in terms of where his company holds events.
By the end of 2012, Bellator will have held events in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Canada among other states in the U.S. Next up is South America and Brazil.
“Brazil’s like a second home to us – we’re basically ‘Brazil-ator,'” said Rebney, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com this past weekend after a card in Mississippi. “I’d love to get down there to do some shows. Based on the ratings we’ve received in Brazil with Esporte Interativo, we’re looking at Brazil.”
