Arrest Warrant Issued For Former Strikeforce Fighter

An arrest warrant for aggravated battery against a household member has been issued by the Albuquerque Police Department for Willie Parks (5-2), according to a report from the Albuquerque Journal.

Parks allegedly beat his pregnant girlfriend on July 29, which caused her to suffer a broken nose, a concussion and have a miscarriage.

His current location is unknown and the U.S. Marshals have joined in the search.

Parks lost in his Strikeforce debut in 2011 and last competed at WMMA in March of this year.

In 2010, he joined Jackson’s MMA gym, serving as the wrestling coach before reportedly parting ways with the gym at the start of the summer because he was late or wouldn’t show up to fulfill his duties.

“We severed ties with Willie two months ago,” said Ricky Kottenstette, Jackson’s MMA general manager. “We heard that he got on The Ultimate Fighter, but obviously he didn’t. We are assisting the U.S. Marshals as much as we can to help bring him to custody.”
