Well, Ronda Rousey is a hit. The ratings for Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman topped the rest of the 2012 Strikeforce events on Showtime, according to a report filed by MMAjunkie.com.
The number – 530,000 viewers – places the event fifth all-time. The top-rated card was in early 2011 and featured Fedor Emelianenko and Antonio Silva, drawing 741,000 viewers.
Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman featured Rousey defending her Strikeforce bantamweight title against former champion Sarah Kaufman. It peaked with 676,000 viewers tuning in during the 54-second main event in which Rousey submitted Kaufman.
Showtime officials added in the early-Sunday replay of the card and the total viewers reached nearly 900,000.
The previous top 2012 card also featured Rousey, as she defeated Miesha Tate for the title back in March. That card drew 472,000 viewers.
