If it ever happens, Glover Teixeira (18-2) may not want to fight his training partner Lyoto Machida (18-3), but he knows he must do what the company’s wants.
“When you’re an employee of a company you can avoid certain situations, but you can’t deny a fight,” said Teixeira. “We’re employees, but there’s a boss. We may try to avoid this, but if it happens I hope for the best and that everything go alright.”
Teixeira, who is on a 16 fight win streak, will face Quinton Jackson (32-10) at UFC 153. Machida is next to challenge for the light heavyweight championship at an unknown time. Teixeira knows there’s a possibility that he may face Machida for the championship.
“If he is the champion, and I’m hoping he is, let’s see,” said Teixeira.
