We open up the main card on Showtime with light heavyweights Ovince St. Preux (11-5) and T.J. Cook (12-4). The referee will be Mike Beltran.

Round 1: OSP using his seven-inch reach advantage early, but Cook with a strong leg kick that connects. OSP fires back with a left head kick, and Cook counters. Great striking affair in the first minute. Another head kick by OSP, but this one misses. OSP lands a left that looked to knock Cook out, but the ref let it keep going and Cook fought to his feet through the punches by OSP. Cook with a big right that rocks OSP and now he is teeing off with overhand rights to OSP’s head. It appeared as if Cook was out and maybe OSP woke him back up with the strikes on the ground. Uppercut misses by OSP and Cook lands a counter. Straight left lands by OSP and Cook goes to the mat. OSP goes for an arm lock of some sort, but Cook is able to get out of it. OSP goes to the back, but Cook slides out and we go to the second after a thrilling first round.

Round 2: Both men a little less aggressive, and a little slower, to come in without worry now. Lots of head fakes and movement. OSP with a glancing blow with the head kick, but Cook counters him once again with an uppercut. Straight jab by OSP, followed by a quick kick that is partially blocked. We’ve got a break after a kick to the groin by OSP to Cook. Another counter off a head kick by OSP, who shoots in and gets the takedown off a double-leg. Cook trying to get his legs up to go into guard, but OSP not letting him. OSP into side control, looking for a north-south choke attempt. Cook blocking the choke right now, but OSP goes from a side choke to full mount with 30 seconds to go in the round. OSP holding his head with the right and throwing punches with his left.

Round 3: OSP with a straight left that floors Cook, and he is completely out. Just like that, OSP is awarded the fight. Cook remains down, as the sweeping left dropped him straight to the canvas.
