Back-to-back defeats at the hands of Mike Hackert have caused Tim Hague to re-think his fighting career. The former UFC veteran recently announced on Facebook that he will retire.
“Sorry everyone. I was the most prepared I’ve ever been,” Hague wrote. “Never trained or dieted harder. I had a good run, but like I told my coach and my girl a few weeks ago. That was my last fight. Thanks for the support over the last 6 years. On to the next chapter of my life.”
Hague (14-7) won 10 of his first 11 fights, including a submission victory over Pat Barry in his UFC debut. He would lose his next four UFC fights, however, including a TKO defeat at the hands of Matt Mitrione in 2011.
