Former Strikeforce women’s champion Cris Cyborg knows that keeping her name in the media will only help fuel her return to competition when her suspension is over. However, those that refer to her as a man, well, Cyborg doesn’t take too kindly to those references.
“If you say, ‘she’s like a man,’ it’s because they can’t admit a woman can hit another woman like a man in the Octagon,” said Cyborg, during a recent interview with Tatame. “I wanna fight and I’m prepared to fight anyone.”
Cyborg was found to have an illegal substance in her system after her win in December over Hiroko Yamanaka. She added, “I’m motivated and training a lot. Talk good or bad things about me, I just want you to talk about me because that proves I still bother people.”
Recently, Cyborg has made her known she would enjoy facing Ronda Rousey. However, she would rather have it take place at a catch-weight than move down to bantamweight.
