According to a report by MMAjunkie.com, the UFC has signed rising prospect Phil Harris to its flyweight division. Harris’ debut is currently unknown.
Harris is 21-9-1 in his career, including 13 submission victories and four via knockout. He recently competed in March, defeating Casey Dyer via decision.
Fighting out of the GYM 01 in England, Harris is on a five-fight win streak. He is considered to be England’s top flyweight fighter.
The UFC will crown its first-ever flyweight champion in September at UFC 152: Benavidez vs. Johnson. Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson will meet in the main event, with the winner becoming the champion.
