Erik Perez added a 17-second finish to his first round submission victory earlier this year at UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II. Perez connected with a big right that floored Ken Stone, and followed up with several uncontested blows.
“It feels great,” Perez said. “It’s fantastic.”
Perez, a rising prospect under Greg Jackson’s watchful eye in New Mexico, is now 12-4 in his career. He has won each of his last seven fights, including four via submission.
Perez took a straight jab by Stone and landed his own right that sent Stone face-first into the canvas. He followed up with another right that dropped Stone to the mat again.
With the 17-second victory Perez now owns the fastest bantamweight finish in UFC or WEC history.
