Nik Lentz knew he needed a victory Saturday night at UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II. So, Lentz changed everything and focused himself on Eiji Mitsuoka.
Just three minutes into their fight, Lentz has shown that the decision to move to featherweight was a good one, as he stopped Mitsuoka with several uncontested blows in the opening round.
“I changed everything. I got rid of all of my coaches, I got new ones. I got Mike Dolce,” Lentz said. “I went to Florida and stayed in the worst hotel ever for eight weeks. I threw my life away because I know at 145 pounds I can be a champion.”
After going unbeaten for four years, Lentz fought Charles Oliveira to a no-contest and was defeated by both Mark Bocek and Evan Dunham.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Lentz said. “I’m gonna be here, keep winning and keep going down the road.”
