Rashad Evans and other members of the “Blackzilians” in Florida have lost standout coach Mike Van Arsdale. After reports of Van Arsdale’s exit were rumored, the coach confirmed it via Twitter.
“I returned 2 (Arizona) 2 raise my children,” Van Arsdale wrote. “I’ll be working with the (Blackzilians) on an as needed basis. The team will be fine – so will I.”
The 47-year-old Iowa native fought 13 times in his own career, going 8-5. His area of expertise comes in wrestling, as he competed at Iowa State University and was a Div. I NCAA champion.
