If MMA Becomes An Olympic Sport, Jon Jones Wants In

Current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has built his success on the backbone of being a standout wrestler. However, “Bones” has shown that he is more than just a grappler, submitting the likes of Lyoto Machida and knocking out such fighters as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Jones was recently asked on Twitter if MMA became an Olympic sport, would he compete. The Olympics have begun in London, with wrestling and boxing set to take the stage in the coming days.

“I’d be all over that,” Jones responded.

Jones is set to make another title defense at UFC 151 this September, facing Dan Henderson. To date, Jones has topped Machida, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans since claiming the belt over Rua.
