Dan Henderson has no problems with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. However, this September at UFC 151 when the two collide, “Hendo” plans on taking it to Jones.
“He is what he is and I enjoy fighting guys like that, that are a little bit cocky,” said Henderson, during a recent interview with Tatame.com. “It’s funny to put them in their place.”
Henderson earned his shot at “Bones” by besting Mauricio “Shogun” Rua last year. Jones actually won the belt from Rua, and has since defended it against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans.
As for talk of Henderson facing Anderson Silva, the UFC middleweight champion, Henderson said, “right now I’m not even thinking about it. I’m worried about the other tall, skinny guy (Jones).”
