The hatred UFC president Dana White and former UFC champion Frank Shamrock have for one another is well documented. The two have no common interests, outside of the general passion for MMA.
Shamrock had some choice words for White recently when asked about being enshrined in the UFC’s Hall of Fame. And, as you could expect, White fired off comments in his typical “DFW” way when he responded.
“Frank Shamrock’s always talking smack,” said White, during an interview on Sirius XM Satellite (via Fight Cove) recently. “We have the biggest fight of the year coming up and (Spike TV) have Frank Shamrock on there, the most irrelevant dude on the planet. Here’s the thing about the UFC Hall of Fame in all honestly, you know, the UFC Hall of Fame this is – these are the guys that we have been inducting that have done a lot for the sport since we’ve taken over. The guys who have been inducted have helped us gete to where we are. Frank Shamrock isn’t one of those guys.”
Shamrock continues to work for Showtime, announcing Strikeforce events. He retired from fighting with a 23-10-2 record two years ago after falling to Cung Le and Nick Diaz.
