Ronda Rousey isn’t the only Strikeforce women to be in the news. Miesha Tate, the last person to face Rousey inside the cage, is likely to return to action this fall, according to Scott Coker.
“We don’t have anything to announce officially, but I believe you’ll see her back in the cage in a relatively quick manner,” said the Strikeforce CEO, while appearing on MMAjunkie.com Radio recently. “She’s pretty much healed up and ready to start training.”
Tate (12-3) suffered a gruesome arm injury in her loss to Rousey, as the former Olympian cranked on an armbar to secure the victory and the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title.
The loss was just the second in Strikeforce for Tate, who claimed the belt by defeating Marloes Coenen in 2011.
