The UFC has announced a welterweight contest between Dan Hardy and Amir Sadollah that’s set for the impending UFC on Fuel TV 5 fight card.
Hardy (24-10, 1 NC) recently salvaged his career by defeating Duane Ludwig at UFC 146 this past May. The English bruiser was riding a four-fight losing streak prior to knocking out Ludwig and was almost assuredly on his way out of the promotion if he would have lost. He’ll look to continue his upswing when he meets Sadollah.
After losing a bout to Ludwig, Amir Sadollah (6-3) got back in the win column with a split decision over Jorge Lopez. A cast member from the Ultimate Fighter 7, Sadollah has spent his entire career competing for the UFC, with his only losses having come against Johny Hendricks, Dong Hyun Kim and Ludwig.
The promotion also announced match ups between Jason Young and Robert Peralta, as well as Che Mills and Duane Ludwig.
UFC on Fuel TV 5 is set to take place on September 29 at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England — Hardy’s hometown.
