After a thrilling, yet brief knockout victory over Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger in the main event for The Ultimate Fighter 15, Martin Kampmann shared his future desires with Spencer Lazara.
“I want to fight for the title, that’s my goal.”
In a fight where the Dane was admittedly “rocked” in the first round on the feet by Ellenberger, “The Hitman” was able to persevere to record the biggest win of his career to date.
“I was just on autopilot,” Kampmann admitted. “I was ready to keep firing… It was a really big fight and I’m very happy I got the win.”
While Kampmann has not made his aspirations a mystery, he may well have to fight Johny “Bigg Rigg” Hendricks first in order to earn a spot against the UFC’s Welterweight titleholder. If this is the case, consider Kampmann ready.
“If I have to fight Hendricks, then that’s what we’ll do.”
