Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer has revealed that all of the drug tests turned in for the UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir fight card (this latest round of them, anyway) have come back clean.
All 24 fighters who competed at the event were tested.
UFC 146 went down last Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and featured the promotion’s first ever all-heavyweight main card. As expected, the big boys delivered the action, with things capping off in the main event when heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos put the stamp on Frank Mir to make the first successful defense of his title.
Of course, things didn’t go as smoothly when the NSAC handed out surprise drug tests at the UFC 146 pre-fight press conference. Alistair Overeem, the man originally intended to take on dos Santos for the belt, registered an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio which was eventually blamed on a mysterious anti-inflammatory injection from a shady doctor.
