Stephan Bonnar has been bombing Twitter in the recent weeks with requests for a spot on The Ultimate Fighter as a coach opposite Forrest Griffin.
However, UFC president Dana White let it be known during the recent post-UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir press conference that “The American Psycho” will not receive one of the spots.
“I know that’s what he wants. No. Sorry, Stephan. We usually bring in guys that are champions,” White said (thanks to MMAWeekly.com for transcribing). “Stephan and Forrest, believe me, you guys know I love Stephan and Forrest. We celebrate Stephan and Forrest every day. But it’s not going to happen.”
The two met in the finals of the original Ultimate Fighter show, a bout many consider the turning point in the immediate growth of the UFC. Griffin, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, also won the rematch between the two.
