UFC 146: Jason Miller Vs. C.B. Dollaway

Round 1: Mayhem jiving early. He clips Dollaway with a straight right that wobbles him and then slaps on a guillotine. Dollaway fights out of it and takes top position, but Miller gets to his feet. Dollaway drags him back down, but Miller stands again. Miller gives Dollaway a noogie as Dollaway tries to take him down. He eats a couple of punches when they reset on their feet. Dollaway rocks Miller with a punch, but when he goes down it actually looks like his left knee, which is very wrapped up, buckled. Dollaway nails him with ground and pound as he’s on his knees, but Miller hangs tough. Dollaway on his back, but Miller won’t let him get his hooks in. Dollaway just riding the top, not doing much. Miller works his way to the fence, but Dollaway drags him back down and away from the fence. Dollaway traps one of Miller’s arms behind him and uses it to take full mount as the round winds down. Miller arches and shakes him off, but Dollaway stays on him against the fence. Miller stands before the round ends.

Round 2: Dollaway with a pair of jabs. Miller’s face reddening as he eats jabs. He seems to be limping. Dollaway goes for the takedown and Miller defends with the whizzer. Miller rocks Dollaway again with a right hand. Dollaway is staggering as Miller chases after him. Both men fall down in the ensuing exchange and Dollaway ends up getting Miller to the mat. Miller gets to his feet, but Dollaway keeps him pressed into the fence. Miller lands a solid knee to the body. Miller trying to work the guillotine. Dollaway gets the takedown and lands a nice elbow. Two minutes to go. Miller is clearly having trouble with his left knee; Dollaway in half guard, looking up at the clock and just controlling. A minute to go. Miller recovers guard and eats some ground and pound. Dollaway sneaking in some headbutts on top — classy stuff.

Round 3: Dollaway goes for the takedown again and he gets it easily, seemingly because Miller is fighting on one leg. It’s a sloppy one and, even though he’s clearly injured, Miller is the one fighting the hardest. Dollaway seems pretty content to control from top position, prompting the crowd to boo loudly. Dollaway trying to take the back; Miller defending pretty well, but Dollaway is very much in control. Miller to his feet, but Dollaway scoops him and dumps him to the mat. Dollaway takes the back and flattens Miller out, pounding away at him as Miller lays there. Over a minute to go. Miller is getting hit repeatedly and, though they aren’t hurting him, he’s eating shots nonetheless. The round closes with Dollaway in side control.
