Bellator 66 goes down tonight from the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The fight card plays host to several intriguing match ups, including semifinal bouts in the promotion’s season six lightweight and middleweight tournaments.
The fighters competing on the card hit the scales yesterday and all made weight for their respective bouts without a hitch. Unless you count this (via CageFanatic):
Andreas Spang clearly had no intention of keeping this one friendly, shoving fellow middleweight semifinalist Brian Rogers immediately after stepping off the scale. You think they’ll touch gloves in the first round?
Lloyd “Cupcake” Woodard brought some levity to the proceedings by passing out the confection of his nicknamesake to any on stage who would accept (also via CageFanatic):
From the weird wildernesses of Missoula, Montana, the mustachioed Woodard pulled off an impressive upset win over Patricky “Pitbull” Freire in the tournament’s opening round. He’ll be facing Rick Hawn in the semis.
The Bellator 66 main card airs tonight on MTV2 at 8p.m. ET/5p.m. PT. The preliminary card will air via livestream prior to that on Spike.com.
