UFC heavyweight No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem will step in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission on April 24, with the status of the UFC 146 main event to be determined soon after.
Overeem tested for elevated levels of testosterone during a pre-fight drug test recently. He’ll have to explain to the NSAC why his levels were so high – and have a good reason – if he hopes to receive his fight licensen to face Junior dos Santos for the UFC heavyweight title.
Keith Kizer, Executive Director of NSAC, told The MMA Show recently about the date for the Overeem hearing. UFC president Dana White has confirmed that a decision will be made concerning dos Santos-Overeem after the hearing.
