Heavyweight John Olav Einemo has decided to retire from MMA, according to a report by Norwegian news outlet VG Nett. Einemo, 35, fought twice in the UFC, falling to Dave Herman and Mike Russow.
Einemo told the newspaper that he could have returned to the UFC with some wins, but the time away from his family was not worth it. He was cut last year after all the issues between Golden Glory and Zuffa.
Einemo, if he stays retired, will finish his MMA career with a record of 6-3, including five submission victories.
