UFC president Dana White doesn’t tend to back down from any challenge. If you don’t believe that, just ask any former members of Pride, EliteXC, etc., etc., etc.
So, it should come as no surprise that White would take Jimmy Conrad’s challenge to play soccer with the former pro. To sum everything up, White said in a recent interview that soccer took no skill to play, and that’s why so many played the game.
That bothered Conrad, who played professional for a number of years and was part of the gold medal winning U.S. team in 2005 at the CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was also the Major League Soccer Defender of the Year in ’05.
On his Twitter account Tuesday, White responded to Conrad’s challenge of a little game of soccer by writing, “I’m in bro!!!”
It remains to be seen if everything gets worked out, but don’t be surprised to see White hit the pitch in the near future.
