Former UFC middleweight Anthony Johnson will make his Titan Fighting Championship debut on May 25 at Titan Fighting Championship 22 from Kansas City’s Memorial Hall. “Rumble” will meet David Branch in the main event.
Earlier this year, after missing weight for a co-main event bout with Vitor Belfort, the UFC cut Johnson (10-4). He compiled a 6-4 record while fighting inside the Octagon, but battled weight issues throughout his career.
“Anthony Johnson and David Branch are two of the most aggressive, powerful and athletic middleweights in the world,” Titan CEO Joe Kelly said in a press release. “Titan 22 is going to end with ‘Rumble’ vs. Branch, but wait until you see the fights leading up to it.”
Branch (10-2) went 2-2 during his four-fight run in the UFC. The Renzo Gracie jiu-jitsu product defeated Rich Attonito and Tomasz Drwal, falling to Rousimar Palhares and Gerald Harris.
