“Bellator 62″ Weigh-In Results: Eric Prindle Awarded Tourney Title

For the second consecutive week, the planned Bellator heavyweight tournament final between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos was cancelled. However, this time around, there will be no third encounter, as Prindle was awarded the title and shot at Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad.

Last week, Bellator cancelled the bout and scheduled it for Bellator 62 on Friday night. Instead, the lightweight tournament will comprise the main card for MTV2 this evening. The prelims are slated to be streamed live via

Patricky “Pitbull” Freire and Lloyd Woodard will be the main event, as the two had an intense nose-to-nose encounter on Thursday. The other lightweight bouts include Rich Hawn vs. Ricardo Tirloni, Thiago Michel-Rene Nazare, and J.J. Ambrose vs. Brent Weedman.
