Mike Pierce will get a Brazilian for his next fight, as MMAjunkie.com confirmed Pierce will meet Carlos Eduardo Rocha at UFC on FX 3. The card is expected to take place June 8, though a date and location have yet to be confirmed.
Pierce, who lost to Josh Koscheck in his last fight, called out any Brazilian fighter on his Twitter account over the past few weeks. The loss to Koscheck dropped Pierce to 5-3 in the UFC and 13-5 in his career.
Rocha is 1-1 during his stint inside the Octagon, having defeated Kris McCray in his debut before falling to Jake Ellenberger via split decision. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt has been on the sidelines since the Ellenberger fight, which took place 16 months ago.
With the inclusion of UFC on FX 3 to the schedule, the UFC will host nine major events from April 14 to July 7.
