The Ultimate Fighter will debut on FX tonight, rolling out a shiny new format for their new home and fifteenth season.
In its new form, The Ultimate Fighter will be edited and aired weekly, with every episode’s accompanying fights taking place live. Tonight’s season premiere will feature thirty-two lightweight fighters battling it out to determine who’s going to stay on the show to pursue their UFC dreams and who’s facing long plane rides home.
TUF 15 will feature UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and his chief rival Urijah Faber as opposing coaches, with the pair to dispute Cruz’s 135lbs title in a rubber match upon the show’s conclusion.
The show will air beginning at 9pm tonight and will run for an extended 2.5 hours; from here on out, TUF 15 will air weekly on Fridays at 9pm for one hour.
