As it did for Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey, MMAFighting’s The MMA Hour offered heavyweight mixed martial artists Sean McCorkle and Tim Hague a forum to openly discuss their internet-originated feud with one another.
Though things may not have gotten quite as intense as they did between Rousey and Tate, by the end of their interaction, it was clearly established that each man would welcome a chance to legally inflict harm on the other. Speaking with Fighters.com recently, Hague detailed his beef with Big Sexy.
“We’ve taken a couple little verbal jabs at each other on the Underground forum. Probably been a couple years,” Hague said. “Nothing really ever materialized of it, but I guess you can say we’ve always had a bit of a problem with each other. Being two heavyweights in kind of the same position, I guess you could say we’re on a path that’s going to lead us into a head-on collision sooner or later and I’d prefer sooner.”
Both fighters are UFC veterans and both are currently toiling away outside of the promotion, having been released after losing performances. While Hague hopes that he and McCorkle end up finally settling their differences after making it back to the UFC, he’s happy to take care of things in any organization.
“I’d fight him anywhere anyway,” he said. “It doesn’t need to be personal for me. He’s just another heavyweight that’s running his mouth. I’ll do my talking in the cage. I don’t need to talk myself up to build confidence. I’m confident enough that I could go beat him and that’s the end of the story for me.
“I just want to smash him right away. I don’t care.”
