Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is having something of a tough go at things lately.
After showing up very overweight to fight Ryan Bader at UFC 144 in his former home base of Japan, the former Pride FC superstar was soundly defeated by his younger opponent. Following the fight, in a controversial interview with FightersOnly, Jackson revealed that he’d somewhat shadily been put on testosterone replacement therapy prior to his fight with Bader by a UFC-sponsored doctor.
In the interview, among other things, Jackson explained that he has a renewed dedication to the sport since he’s performing and recovering like a “25-year-old” again and has several more fights left in him. According to a recent tirade he made through Twitter though, all but one of those fights will be taking place outside of the Octagon.

Of course, things like this come with the territory when dealing with Rampage Jackson and, as his brief A-Team-related retirement showed, absolutes aren’t always so absolute with him, either.
