The Ultimate Fighter leaves Las Vegas for the first time in the show’s history this month, with Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort coaching the inaugural international edition of the series in Brazil.
UFC president Dana White has stated his intention to only expand things from there, with his ultimate goal being to hold the show in several different countries and pit the winners from each against one another in a kind of world cup.
Following UFC 143 this past weekend, White revealed (via MMAWeekly) that the next of those international editions will likely take place in India.
“It’s probably going to be India,” said White. “India will probably be the first (after Brazil).”
The UFC boss also restated his desire to move forward with the TUF world cup idea.
“You could do it with four (countries), five, six. Yep, definitely,” he said. “All the winners fight each other.”
TUF: Brazil begins filming this month and will air on Globo; White has said that he believes the episodes will also air Stateside on Fuel TV.
